Bisphenol A and Product Safety
Under normal conditions of use, there are no known
health risks from exposure to bisphenol A from consumer
products, including food-contact materials.
Recent studies have shown that under exaggerated (unrealistic)
conditions, polycarbonate plastics and epoxy can linings
may release trace levels of residual bisphenol A. Testing
using realistic conditions, those that simulate actual
consumer use, does not indicate any reason for a health
concern regarding exposure to bisphenol A.
